Last week, we received word from our agency that we had gotten Pre-Approval to adopt little Fu Xing. Yes...one more step closer to getting him. Now we sit...and...wait...!! I'm not very good at waiting. We have paperwork in Florida waiting to be certified, we have paperwork in Oklahoma waiting to be certified, and good ole Texas sent back our documents very fast so we aren't waiting on them anymore. One of our most important documents to send off is our I800. It's an application that goes to customs and immigration and thankfully we were able to send that off last week too. Bill flew back to Tampa so that we could drive back up to VA together to spend a week with him. We also needed his signature on a couple of things so once that was done we were able to get everything in the mail. The I800a can take a couple of months to get back so now what do we do????
I'm thinking shopping for the little guy. As you can imagine, we had pretty much given away anything baby related from when the kids were little. It has been so much fun over the years giving toys away, and clothes, and books to many of our friends that had younger children. I have to admit though that I'm missing the books right now. We love books in our house and I had quite the collection for the kids. (must be the elementary teacher in me) A few I held onto for sentimental reasons but the majority was given to friends that I knew would love them as much as we did. So now, everytime we go to a bookstore I pick a book or two for Fu Xing. I'm really looking forward to having a little one to rock and read stories to again. Oh Yeah...that's another thing we sold...the rocker. Guess I need to look for a new rocker too.
