Pulling Teeth
As always, there's usually something exciting going on around our house.
Creativity runs deep in our veins.
Even when it comes to pulling teeth.

Back to School
The kids started back to school on Monday and I'm happy to report that both came home with smiles. Emma is in the 7th grade and Cody is in the 4th grade.
(Seriously...where has the time gone? I can't believe how big they are)
They both are still at the Christian school that they attended last year. It was so good going back to a familiar school this year. The last two years it was brand new schools because of Air Force moves. Both kids were looking forward to seeing friends from last year. And like last year, we are blessed-blessed-blessed with loving Christian teachers. It always does this momma's heart good to know that my children's teacher's are believers who will be praying for my children throughout the year. (insert big sigh!!) Thank you God for this country that we live in and the freedoms we have here!

Would you be willing to help?
The following is from a blog of a dear friend of mine. They are in the process of adopting a 7 year old boy from Ch*na who has a very serious heart condition. At this point, it is a race against time to get to him before it is too late. This is their 3rd adoption in less than 7 months so the financial strain is enormous. Would you be willing to help this sweet family who is committed to being "His Hands and His Feet"? A picture of sweet Joshua (JJ) is on the side of my blog. Check out that awesome smile.
Brown is the new black.
Pearls are the new diamonds.
Flip flops are the new high heels
(Bahahaha! I made that one up)
and these
These are the hottest accessory of the season!
Handcrafted with love not made in China.
But made because in China there is a sweet kid waiting for his family.
That'd be us.
And this?
This would be our 3rd adoption in 7 months.
Which means that our piggy bank is a little empty at the moment.
In fact I think I heard it snorting in laughter when it found out how much is still needed to get him home.
I have got to get a new piggybank.
This one has attitude.
But I digress.
So it is with that that we come to you with this giveaway.
The last 3 available Joshua bracelets.
One entry: $5
Three entry's....entries.....entrys?.....perhaps we should Chip In for a grammar class for me
Threeentry's/entries/entrys chances: $10
and so on and so forth and such as and therefore and such and such.
One free entry for sharing on yo blog or the book of face to help us spread the word.
One entry for being a follower, if you already a follower, first of all yay you!
And second, just let me know in the comments and I'll throw yo name in again for an entry.

the winner of the gift card will also be getting this Joshua's Heart painting lovingly crafted by my friend Julie.
I can't look at it without crying. But I'm weird like that.
So that's 4 chances of winning something.
And who doesn't like winning something.
And if you are saying to yourself right now,
"Well me, I don't like winning anything."
Then I'm not sure we should be friends.
Since we are getting very close to travel we will wrap this up one week from today so next Friday, August 26th the winners will be announced!
Woot to the woot!

D*T*C ~~ FI*NAL*LY!!
D T C ~~ Baby!!

It was soooo nice getting that email today from our agency telling us that our dossier will be sent today to Ch*na. We really busted it this past week with the last two items that we had to get ready for the dossier.
Next up...we wait for LID. (our log in date) And then we wait...again. But with renewed hope that we are closer to bringing our sweet Hudson home.
"Everytime I think of you, I give thanks to my dear God."

Emma's Picture
Got Love? Adopt
A couple of weeks ago, Emma brought to me this picture that she had drawn. It's a picture of Hudson with a Got Love? Adopt bib on. Very Cute!!
I loved it and wanted to share it with everyone.
We had received the bib from our friend Sonia who is also in the process of adopting. Right now the bib is on a Pooh Bear in Hudson's room...just waiting for him to come home.
You can find all kinds of great Got Love? Adopt goodies on their web site called Minus 1 Project. (click on this link to check it out) The site was started by a girl named Kelly who is also in the process of adopting. She is adopting from K*rea. By ordering anything from her site, you are helping raise adoption funds to bring home their child. They also help other families with fundraising efforts.
Side note: Emma is available if anyone wants to commission her for more works of art.
